Disk Management is a system utility in Windows that enables you to perform advanced storage tasks. Here are some of the things Disk Management is good for: To setup a new drive, see Initializing a new drive.
Windows 7:
1. Click on Start and right-click Computer.
2. Click on Manage.
3. A window titled Computer Management will open displaying two panes. Click on Disk Management.
4. The Disk Management window will be displayed showing all the drives detected by windows.
Windows 8:
1. Go to File Explorer
2. Click on Desktop
3. Right-click on “Computer”, select Manage->Disk Management.
Windows 10:
To open Disk Management, right-click the Start button and select Disk Management.
